APRIL: TRUCK OF THE YEAR 2023
There was many a public holiday around the country during April, with hard working Aussies kicking back spending time with family and friends, going on camping trips, or taking time to have a breather.
That didn’t mean that the Isuzu Truck of the Year contestants took a break! April was a busy month with stacks of fantastic entries keeping the judges occupied. This month captivated their attention thanks to the huge range of applications showcased by Isuzu truck owners.

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE ROTARY CLUB OF PAMBULA
THE ROTARY CLUB OF PAMBULA
Colin Dunn entered “Beryl” on behalf of the Rotary Club of Pambula to showcase how the 2001 FVR 950 is used in community entertainment and live music in regional New South Wales.
“Our FVR 950 “Beryl” carries a mobile sound stage that we take to all our local communities who were impacted and traumatised in the devastating fires of early 2020,” stated Colin.
“Music is a great way to relieve anxiety and we have had a great impact with Beryl.
“It would not have worked without the mobility our Isuzu truck has offered us. This vehicle has never faltered, even over some very tricky ground.”
Everyone at Truck of the Year loves to see the Isuzu reliability pay off in such a rewarding way for our rural communities. Thank you for sharing the Rotary Club of Pambula and Beryls’ story with us.

“This is the best Isuzu I have owned,” states Luke with glee.
Based in Bowraville in New South Wales the hardy FSD 140-260 AUTO is put to purpose for Luke Pell Towing.
“It is automatic, has airbags and lots of power. It has a Bozmac tilt slide with a flipper tail for low vehicles.
“My FSD 140-260 AUTO also has a custom paint job.”
Scott The Installer and Removalist
“It's the fourth Isuzu I have owned,” said Scott.
“It's a custom built pantech on an FRR 107-210 with a pull-out Engel fridge underneath. I get a lot of comments on the truck... I love it!”
Located in South Brighton in South Australia Scott puts his FRR to work with his removalist business. It’s no wonder that the truck is a fan favourite with fridges for cold drinks – a much needed respite from the hard work of removalists.

NORTH EAST BIN HIRE
Tom Hogan from North East Bin Hire based in Albury in New South Wales has showcased his 2022 FRR 110-240 MWB skip bin truck. With a fantastic wrap that’s squeaky clean, it’s hard to believe that it’s in for some dirty work.
“Replacing an old work horse like a 2001 Isuzu NQR 450 was never going to be easy but our new Isuzu FRR 110-240 MWB blows the old one out of the water! Skip trucks are probably some of the hardest working trucks on the road,” said Tom.
And the best thing about their Isuzu?
“Being able to work underload with the PTO operating our Marrell lifts, staying cool, and staying strong pulling those loads uphill day after day.”
