ISUZU ELF 350 NKR Tippers 4 Lights On Crop Compressed

There’s a magic in metal memory. In the whirr of a starter motor that hasn’t turned over in decades. In the scent of fresh paint over steel that hauled a nation forward.

That magic recently came alive at Isuzu Australia Limited (IAL) in Melbourne, where a meticulous, nuts-and-bolts restoration of a charming 1976, KS11 Elf 350 was recently completed.

Famous for their reliability and ‘bullet proof’ durability, the KS11 350 model has a notable history in the annals of the Australian truck market, where it gained significant popularity amongst a range of trade and construction applications throughout the 1970s and into the 80s.

Honouring the past

This resto wasn’t just a ‘polish-and-pray’ job.

Teams hunted rare parts, deciphered faded assembly diagrams, and honoured every weld that once defined Australia’s burgeoning light-truck scene.

The result is a time capsule on wheels - a testament to the reliability and sheer toughness that first cemented Isuzu’s name Down Under.

Relive the restoration journey here.

The torch is passed

This resurrected ’70s warrior isn’t just a museum piece, it’s the beating heart of a legacy – and one that’s roaring back to life in 2025.

That same spirit, forged in reliability and refined by decades of feedback, ignites Isuzu’s next exciting chapter.

Meet the all-new MY25 Isuzu N Series range, represented here by the KS11’s modern counterpart, the Ready-to-Work NKR 65-150 Tipper, showcased recently at the 2025 Brisbane Truck Show.

For over 30 years, the N Series, in its many guises, hasn’t just led the light-duty market; it’s dominated it.

From construction sites to frantic last-mile deliveries, the N Series has been the unflinching backbone of Aussie business.

Now, Australia’s favourite workhorse is reborn from the ground up, driven by its parent company’s evolved S.E.E. philosophy, focussing on Safety, Economy and Environment.

Decades of progress

Gone are the compromises of a bygone era and as you step into the all-new cabin, you feel the decades of progress.

Comfort: An ergonomic driving posture, intuitive controls, and vastly reduced noise and vibration turn longer missions into pleasing journeys.

Command: A reduced-diameter steering wheel (440mm) sharpens on-road response. Essential safety and operational functions live on the steering wheel itself and the massive MyIsuzu Co-Pilot touchscreen keeps operators as connected as they are entertained.

Confidence: Outside, the striking redesigned grille applies a modern take to a familiar design ethos, while signature headlamps and an engineered bumper broadcast capability and modern efficiency.

What matters most

In the late 70s, truck safety was scarcely a part of the conversation, let alone non-negotiable.

In 2025, Isuzu hasn’t just raised the safety parapet; they’ve redefined it.

The MY25 N Series boasts an unprecedented 15 active and passive safety functions – safeguarding everyone on the road.

Building on Isuzu’s class-leading dual-camera Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), 2025 safety highlights include…

  • Full Speed Adaptive Cruise Control (F-ACC)
  • Intelligent Speed Limiter (ISL)
  • Intersection Warning System (IWS)

This suite isn’t just bells and whistles – it’s a promise to bring drivers home safe.

Ready & raring

That painstakingly restored 1976 KS11 is more than just nostalgia. It’s proof that Isuzu’s core promise – relentless durability, and unwavering support – is timeless.

The MY25 N Series Ready-to-Work (RTW) range carries that torch forward, amplified by operational smarts, including decades of market leadership distilled into every bolt and circuit.

With some 16 tipper model variants now available, spanning 4,500 kg Gross Vehicle Mass, right through to 14,000 kg, those simpler times when the KS11 350 was king might be gone, but the possibilities are now endless.

From the workshop floor to the construction site, the circle is complete. The legend that built Australia is rebuilt – smarter, safer, and ready to write the next chapter.
