From action flicks to family favourites, Isuzu trucks truly are stars.

A well-placed cameo is always a treat for moviegoers, and this surprise doesn’t just have to be the appearance of a popular celebrity. You may not have realised it, but Isuzu trucks have made countless cameos, even in the biggest of blockbusters. If you’ve never noticed any of our trucks on the big screen, don’t fret – here are five memorable films that features our famous vehicles.

Captain America: Civil War It doesn’t get much bigger than this first cameo, with an Isuzu truck entering the fray in one of today’s biggest film franchises. Keep your eyes peeled during the 2016 action flick’s climactic airport scene, in which an N-Series model is flung across the tarmac while the cast trade blows. While it’s a far more reckless use of a vehicle than we’d ever recommend, we’re sure it made it through in one piece – our trucks are made of tough stuff, after all.

The Hangover Part III In the midst of this 2013 comedy, an Isuzu truck makes an appearance that changes the course of the story. Just over 16 minutes into the movie, an NPR painted in yellow is used to drive Phil and the rest of the Wolf Pack off the road. Several men then jump out of the vehicle – truly a spacious truck! – and proceed to kidnap the four protagonists. It’s definitely a big cameo, despite being among the more compact members of our range.

The Walking Dead Isuzu dipped its toes into dangerous waters when it showed up in The Walking Dead. In this apocalyptic world, Rick Grimes and his gang travel in search of survivors using their dependable NPR. The truck first rolled onto the scene in the fifth season, and turned up many more times throughout the sixth, eighth and ninth seasons. It’s reassuring to know that if there ever were to be a zombie outbreak, you could still rely on your Isuzu.

Ralph Breaks the Internet Perhaps Isuzu’s most unique cameo is in the 2018 kids film Ralph Breaks the Internet. Rather than driving a truck onto a film set, the creators had to instead lovingly recreate an F-Series truck as an animated 3D model, and the results are impressive – they’ve expertly captured the many details of the vehicle, which looks as stunning in cartoon form as it does in real life.

Ocean’s Thirteen It’s only fitting that in this stylish film from 2007, an equally classy Isuzu makes an appearance. Just over an hour into the story, as George Clooney’s Danny Ocean prepares for his latest scheme, two members of his team set off to do some investigative work in their NPR dating back to 1995. You might think a bank robber would have spent money on the newest model, but even the older trucks remain reliable to this day.
