JULY 2020: TRUCK OF THE YEAR ENTRANTS
KEVREK AUSTRALIA PTY LTD
Proudly wrapped in striking livery and fitted with the K1000 crane, the NLR 45-150 Servicepack is perfect for all of Kevrek Australia’s onsite servicing and repair needs. The NLR Servicepack’s body comprises seven lockable storage compartments with a total volume of 2.5 cubic metres, and Zowie at Kevrek said they loved having the option to choose specific tray and toolbox specifications, allowing them to tailor the NLR’s powder-coated steel service body exactly to their needs. Zowie said, “Not only is the NLR reliable, a great size and easy to drive, it also allows all of our staff to drive on their standard car licences.”
HASL HAUS
Looking very smart with a striking grey and yellow colour scheme, this NNR 45-150 Vanpack with Isuzu automated manual transmission (AMT) gets a great response wherever it travels on the job for Hasl Haus. As a premium apartment renovations company, looks are just as important as functionality, and Chris Hassell said there’s more than meets the eye in the Isuzu Ready-to-Work Vanpack. With Isuzu satnav, reversing camera and LED interior lighting in the back, combined with a GVM of 4,500 kg, Chris appreciates all the Vanpack’s little extras, including six-speed AMT. “I love how easy and smooth it is to drive. All the controls are at my fingertips and visibility is excellent all round,” he said.
LOFTY TRANSPORT
If trucks could grin then this FTR 150-260 with tray body and crane would have a million-dollar smile. Owner Teddy Teuma at Lofty Transport said the sturdy FTR appeals to his clients, and added, “Having an Isuzu means reliability and punctuality for my customers, they’re always commenting on the professionalism of the truck.” What else makes the FTR an awesome choice for Teddy? “The soft smooth ride and Allison automatic transmission,” he said. “My favourite part of the truck is the comfort it brings!”
ANDREW WALTER CONSTRUCTION
The NPR 55-155 Tradepack with Isuzu AMT features a heavy-duty aluminium tray, coupled with galvanised ladder racks and integrated load restraint anchor points—makings it perfect for Clayton Pearce from Tassie construction company, Andrew Walter Constructions. “Once loaded with a 750-litre toolbox and a folding vice, there is still lots of storage and plenty of tray space,” noted Clayton. “It hauls the load with ease and is a comfy ride too. It’s really a great little truck!”
FAUCET PLUMBING
When it’s not giving the golf buggy a free ride, Stewart Hall’s NLR 200 (NLR 45-150) can be seen around Worongary, Queensland, visiting worksites for Faucet Plumbing. Pictured here loaded with mini excavator plus sundry tools and equipment, and towing the buggy too... well, who says you can't do more than one thing at once with an Isuzu N Series! Stewart says the NLR’s 4JJ1 engine provides plenty of pull whatever the task, and he also gives a shout out to the local Isuzu dealership staff who keep his truck running in tip top condition.
EXCLUSIVE SWITCHBOARDS
As a business, Exclusive Switchboards might be fresh on the scene, but they’ve got their transport situation nailed right from the get-go with this medium-wheelbase NPR 45-155 Tradepack decked out with a custom steel tray and LEDs. Used as a delivery truck and run-around, Brad Harris said the Isuzu Ready-to-Work Tradepack was the perfect choice to help the business deliver electrical equipment and services to clients around Kings Park, New South Wales. “After looking extensively through the market, we decided the Isuzu Tradepack was just what we needed, and it looks awesome on the road,” said Brad.
S & H PEARSON’S MOBILE BUTCHER SERVICE
Servicing the Goulburn Valley, S & H Pearson’s Mobile Butcher Service is a staple for locals and farmers in the region needing on-site butchering and transportation of product. They pride themselves on running a quick, clean and reliable service, and using the hardy Isuzu NPR 300 (NPR 65-190) with refrigerated van body to back their operations, Steve and Helen Pearson have no need to worry about getting to clients on time or having enough space to transport cargo. “It looks great and it’s easy to drive,” said Steve.
SHAPE IT PATIOS AND LANDSCAPING
Shape It Patios and Landscaping does it all, from design, planning and installation of patios and carports all the way through to landscaping and fencing. Based in Queensland, Shape It relies on the NPR 45-155 Tipper to deliver equipment and services. And no matter what kinds of tough conditions they meet on the road, the 4,500 GVM Tipper hasn’t let them down. According to owner Ashley Karslake, “The Isuzu looks great, it drives well and it’s comfortable.” For them, the Isuzu Tipper comfortably aces all tasks, with the enviable option of being able to be driven on a car licence… Their Isuzu sure does tick all the boxes and more.
ALL SAFE EXCAVATIONS
Brendan Moran from All Safe Excavations loves the sheer toughness of the FXZ 240-350, equipped here with a vacuum pump and jetter capable of cleaning and clearing the most obstructed of plumbing lines. Utilised primarily for non-destructive digging works, Brendan notes the FXZ and its 45,000 kg GCM capacity has also provided them with powerful earth moving capabilities—backed by the safety and reliability of the Isuzu product. “My favourite part of the business is serving our customers, and the reliability and comfort the FXZ provides helps us do that efficiently,” said Brendan.
CHUCK WOOD CARPENTRY
Chuck Wood Carpentry are local experts in external landscaping features such as retaining walls, decks and pergolas. Chuck Wood Carpentry relies heavily on the right tools and equipment to get the job done, and with utes and trailers struggling under the heavy workload the business sees, they were pleased to be able to upgrade to the Isuzu NNR 200 (NNR 45-150). Now, there’s no limit to what they can achieve with their handy Isuzu N Series truck and its custom-fitted racks and toolboxes on hand, said owner Charlie Curtis. Charlie added, “The truck has helped grow the business tenfold in such a short space of time, it’s changed my world in the carpentry industry.”
COMPLETE PROJECTS WA
Signage and installation company Complete Projects WA can be found driving around metro areas in their NPR 55-155 Tradepack, servicing government buildings, hospitals, nursing homes and shopping centres, just to name a few. According to Wade French, the NPR Tradepack “drives superbly”. And with a GVM of 5,500 kg, we’re sure it packs a decent load while looking snazzy on road with its genuine Isuzu bullbar.
The all-new range of Isuzu trucks has arrived. With a sleek new cab design, more advanced safety features and a smoother, more comfortable drive, the new range will change the way we rely on our trucks. Forever.
