SILVER MEDAL FOR ISUZU TECHNICIANS

[image_gallery][/image_gallery] Isuzu is Australia’s top selling truck brand for a number of reasons, including having some of the best service technicians in the world! The Isuzu Australia Limited (IAL) team finished in second place at the 2016 Isuzu World Technical Competition held last night in Tokyo, Japan. Now in its eleventh year, the annual competition – fondly referred to as the ‘I-1 Grand Prix’ – sees Isuzu truck technicians from around the world compete head-to-head in a series of challenges including measurement accuracy, vehicle inspection standards, fault identification, repair ability and theoretical understanding. This year’s competition was split into two categories. Category A was fought out between countries operating with emission levels above Euro IV, while Category B held those countries with levels below Euro IV. Competing within Category A, the Australian team overcame teams from 8 other Isuzu distributor nations to eventually take out second place behind local favourites Japan, with Hong Kong coming in third. Coached by IAL Service Manager, Victoria and Tasmania, Mr Jason Leckie, the Aussie line-up included Gold Coast Isuzu’s Matthew Kempnich and Victorian-based Ty Jenkins from Westar Trucks in Campbellfield.
