The monthly winner also goes in the running to be crowned ‘King’ of their truck Series (N, F, FX/FY) at the end of the year, with a shot at the $1,500 cash prize awarded to each series winner.

July Truck of the Year
This month the judges were impressed with a well-equipped FYJ 300-200 from CNC Cartage, with owner, Chad Brown, presenting his Queensland truck and business in an outstanding manner.
CNC Cartage
Specialists in transporting timber and building products, CNC Cartage’s FYJ 300-200 utilises a HMF 3202 30-tonne crane to load the vehicle’s 8.8 metre tray. Being a twin-steer, the crane sits between the axles of the FYJ allowing for easy, stress-free loading. The twin-steer platform was selected to ensure greater manoeuvrability, especially in tighter spaces.
“We wanted to have the truck run on aluminium wheels, so the build pushed all the boundaries of what’s possible.
“We’re proud of its capabilities and the full wrap in CNC company colours is matched by a black tray that really sets it apart,” said a delighted Chad Brown.
Mav Builds
Steven Mavros from Mav Builds has extended the versatility of his NPR 75-190 tipper by not only getting the job done throughout the week on building sites across the Hunter region but also literally transforming his vehicle into a mobile home for weekends and holidays.
“My NPR 75-190 tipper is the ultimate in versatility,” explained Steven.
“When it is in full work mode it’s the perfect vehicle for me as a carpenter and builder. I can carry my full kit of tools but can also deal with an additional 2.5 tonne of materials or rubbish.
“When I want to travel, I winch my custom-built tiny house into the tray and I'm ready to hit the road in comfort,” Steven said.
“It’s got more than enough power to take me wherever I need to go. It carries the weight easily and takes the knocks of having a house in the back without flinching.”
