Truck of the Year: June 2024

Our Truck of the Year competition is well underway for 2024, with Isuzu truck owners across the breadth of trade and industry displaying their pride and love of life on the road.

From plumbers, excavators, crane trucks, bin trucks, concreters, landscapers, and freight operators—we’ve seen it all in the short space of two months since the competition opened this year.

Showing the incredible range of uses that Isuzu trucks can be put to is what it’s all about here at the Truck of the Year competition, so without further ado, let’s have a look at the drivers and hardworking businesses behind the wheel during June.

June: Truck of the Month

A round of applause for Sam Brack from Brack Concrete Designs with his customised NQR 87/80-190, which has been selected as the Truck of the Month! Sam drives away with the monthly prize—an Isuzu merchandise pack valued at over $300 RRP.

This truck is now in the running to be crowned “King” of the N Series against this year’s hot competition.

Brack Concrete Designs

“There isn't another one like it,” Sam Brack says with pride.

Brack Concrete Designs services Canberra and wider New South Wales with their unique combination of polished concrete furniture, flooring, and wall features.

The NQR 87/80-190 is vital to the transport side of the operation, making excellent use of custom-built storage and specialised equipment mounted to the tray.

Savage Ozzy Transport

Based out of Morayfield in Southeast Queensland, Allan Willis at Savage Ozzy Transport is making the most of the accessibility of Isuzu's F Series for first-time truck owners.

“My Isuzu truck is my first commercial vehicle,” says Allan.

With its bright red curtains, this big mover is certainly an eye-catcher.

Luke's Local Freight

“Whatever I throw at my Isuzu, she keeps on moving—no matter the load or the distance,” says Luke.

This great photo captured on the job shows the Isuzu FRR 600 hard at work for Luke's Local Freight.

Operating out of Wauchope New South Wales the transport and removalist business has been on the go since 2017.

Can Lift

Sporting a crane so mighty it can’t even fit in the frame, this FVD 165-300 sent in by Peter Wilson from Can Lift is hard at work for the business in Jerrabomberra, New South Wales.

“My FVD is the ultimate crane and delivery truck,” Peter happily notes.

Active Skip Bins

From demolition to delivery, Active Skip Bins in Bundaberg, Queensland, shows just how tough a bin truck can be with its FSD 140-260.

“Our Isuzu performs great, hauling heavy loads of delicious macadamias in Bundaberg,” says Gavin Lerch.

“It is strong, reliable and fuel efficient.”

Panos Gardens

Better known for bringing beauty to the gardens and landscapes of Greater Sydney, Panos Gardens and entrant Panagiotis Zachos also bring panache to this month’s competition with a striking NQR 87-190 AMT.

The truck’s clever design and custom tool storage makes transporting equipment a breeze for the busy team—with space leftover for hauling waste at the end of jobs.

“A unique design,” says Panagiotis, sagely.
